Who built this
CarIQ was built by one person — Alin, a delivery driver based in Dublin. No team, no office, no outside funding. Just a phone and whatever spare time exists between drop-offs.
The idea came from a simple observation: Irish people selling a car privately have no real tools built for them. Free valuation sites give rough numbers based on stale data. Everything else is built for buyers or dealers. Nobody was thinking about the seller.
So I built something that does.
What CarIQ actually does
When you submit your reg, we analyse every identical car currently listed in Ireland — same make, model, fuel type, gearbox, and mileage band. We filter out stale listings that have been sitting unsold for months (which is what makes every free tool give you a misleading number). Then we build a 12-section report that tells you exactly what to list at, what to say in your ad, how to handle a buyer trying to knock you down on the doorstep, and how to avoid getting scammed.
Every report is reviewed by a human before it's sent. That's me, for now.
