• Vehicle registration number — to generate your report
• Mileage and vehicle details — entered by you in the report form
• Email address — to deliver your report and provide support
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Usage data — pages visited, time on site, browser type (via Google Analytics)
• IP address — collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure

How We Use Your Data

• To generate and deliver your CarIQ seller intelligence report
• To process your payment via Stripe
• To respond to support queries
• To improve our service through anonymised analytics
• To comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing without your consent.

Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract — processing necessary to deliver the report you purchased
• Legitimate interests — improving our service, fraud prevention, site security
• Consent — analytics cookies, where you have accepted our cookie policy

Data Retention

We retain your report data and associated personal information for 12 months from the date of purchase, after which it is deleted from our systems.

Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Irish tax law.

• Cartell.ie / MotorCheck — vehicle history data lookup
• Anthropic — AI report generation (your reg and vehicle data is sent to generate report content)
• Vercel / AWS — hosting and infrastructure
• Google Analytics — anonymised usage analytics

Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict your data, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission Ireland. Email support@cariq.ie to exercise any of these rights.
